Bethany Gravell brings 15 years of experience in political consulting and organization management to her position as Senior Account Executive with The Kenney Group. She has developed and implemented public affairs strategies for major corporations, state agencies, business leagues, public utilities and cultural institutions. In 2015, Bethany successfully managed the campaign to fund a $778 million redevelopment of Denver’s National Western Stock Show Complex, earning over 65% voter approval.
Bethany helped defeat a proposed statewide GMO labeling initiative in 2014 by building a coalition of organizations, businesses and individuals representing more than 60,000 Coloradans opposed to the measure. She was also instrumental in securing voter approval for a $65 million bond to restore and expand the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Bethany managed the successful campaign of former Denver City Councilwoman Peggy Lehmann and served as the councilwoman’s policy aide for four years.
Bethany was awarded the 5281 Award from Mayor John Hickenlooper for outstanding service and dedication to Denver. Bethany serves as Chair of the Denver Water Board Citizen Advisory Committee and is a member of the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation Policy Committee. Bethany is a graduate of the 2014 Class of Leadership Denver, the 2008 Class of Downtown Denver Partnership’s Emerging Leaders Program and is an AmeriCorps*VISTA alum.
